- Learning to communicate EFFECTIVELY with clients to deliver everything they’re hoping for and more. No more confusion, communication breakdowns, or unaligned appointments.
- Creating custom maintenance plans for each client, so they feel cared for an on-track for their future hair goals.
- A process, experience, and results that have your clients continually visiting you, and leaving you RAVING reviews.

Phases of our Career Path as a Commission Stylist
Academy 1-1.5 Years: Learning (up to $50,000/year)
Mastery 3-5 Years: Specializing (up to $150,000/year)
Refining 2-3 Years: Elevating (up to $112.000/year)
Scaling 5+ Years: Advancing ($150,000 & up per year)
In year one of this phase, you will be an assistant. You will be getting all of the education you crave to serve clients, support other lead stylists and add value to the salon! This year is all about learning the culture of the salon, the Max + Ro Methods of technical skills, and how to start building a full book of dreamy clients.
In this phase, you have now experienced a lot within the world of hair and clients start recognizing your work as your own! You have niched down because you are so passionate about the work you are doing and there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing. Your price point matches your skill level and it makes coming to work SO FUN!
In this phase we focus on elevating every aspect you learned in the Academy. This includes your client experience, growing your technical skills, establishing your social media voice, marketing like a boss and reaching your new levels! There is so much growth in this Phase, you’ll be surprised!
This is where the real magic can happen for you! Think of your dream life.. What does a good day in the salon look like? What services are you doing, what new education are you taking, what hours are you working, how many assistants do you have, how many vacations are you taking each year? You get to dream it and we get to work to make it happen! There’s no limits here, so dream big!

We do! If you are new to the industry, it’s part of your employment with us! It’s phase one of our career path as a Max + Ro Artist.
Yes! We have our artists taking clients almost immediately! We are big fans of hands-on learning!
Artists are usually assistants for 12-15 months. This is about how long phase one of our career path is.
Nope! We take into consideration your level of experience and goals when joining our team. However, we do recommend artists do some assisting in the beginning because it is a very valuable form of education!
